Arnold Schwarzenegger on Immigration
Recently, I have been reading many articles regarding immigration and the Dream Act. I came across an article called "Arnold Schwarzenegger on "On the Record" with Greta Van Sustren. http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=13906. Is Schwarzenegger asking for votes, or does he really care about the broken immigration system? In a nutshell, he simply says that there are many students who go to school in California, but instead of working in America they go back to their countries. He feels that this is wrong and that these students should contribute to America in a pursuit to better America. On the other hand, Schwarzenegger, an immigrant himself from Austria, denied Prop. 187 which denies social services to illegal immigrants. Isn't he contradictory when he says that students should help better the country, and then on the other hand he denies social services to all illegal immigrants. He is simply playing the oldest trick in the book. Since elections are near, he is saying what the Latino population want to hear so that he can obtain votes.
