Must Keep Positive!!

During these tough times, it has gotten harder and harder to keep a positive spirit. As I watched the "State of the Union" speech given by President Obama, I could no wait for him to bring up the topic of Immigration. As the speech went on, it was nearly impossible not to notice that he was no willing to touch up on this issue. That really dissappointed me.

Mr. Obama finally got to the topic, but barely said a few words.... nothing about earned legalization or the 12 million people who were probably at home watching, waiting anxiously for a light of hope. I know I was one of them.

As 2010 comes into full light, I'm starting to wonder if Mr. Obama truly has what it takes to lead the current congress into passing anything of significance. I mean, I like Mr. Obama, I think he is a very likable president, but I know he did not get the Hispanic vote in 2008 because he was "likable."

I will stay hopeful and positive, hoping to return to college next Fall and continue my studies. It may not look good at this point (realistically), but I have faith in the man above, who is much more powerful and mighty than we can all imagine.

I'm sure this is not my experience alone. As I type this, I imagine millions of other young men and women out there who are thinking the same thing. I'm just fortunate enough to be able to post it here for the world to read. If you are reading this, and you feel the same way I do about the situation, please stay hopeful and continue to do what you can. Be Safe, DREAMERS.
